Entrusted with the mission of revolutionising Lagos's transportation environment, LAMATA began building a comprehensive mass transit system that would offer all citizens access to secure, effective, and reasonably priced modes of transportation.

The Red Line connects eight key stations—Agbado, Iju, Agege, Ikeja, Oshodi, Mushin, Yaba, and Oyingbo—across a 27-kilometer stretch from Agbado in Ogun State to Oyingbo in Lagos.
However, the adventure is far from over. The LRMT Red Line has a bright future ahead of it with agreements inked for the start of the second phase of the project. There are also plans to expand the line even further, linking more communities and enhancing accessibility.
